"You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs but it's amazing how many eggs you can break without making a decent omelette"
This month remnants of the Normandy landings, supported by reinforcements en route, managed to evade German forces and seized Dunkerque and Antwerp. Also at the same time a Commando raid was carried out on Brest, but only second-rate forces were defending so the city was seized with very little bloodshed. Also the RAF fighters left in Britain were scrambled and annihilated the German counter-offensive forces.
The Red Army continues to resupply the Chetepaka assault forces now entrenched along the Danube. The Red Airforce's ranks have now been fully resupplied with 30 new machines; the quota Stalin set at the start of the conflict.
Continuation of assisting the Allied assault in the Balkans, the Red Airforce this month shot down bombers around Sarajevo, as well as smashed a group of tanks consisting of a M-11/39 Italian tank supported by a StuGIII. The road is now clear for the Allies to push on to Split.
As the Spring thaw receeds, recon units expect a full thrust by the Germans from the direction of Budapest this summer. The roads are beginning to dry, and soon the Panzers will march. However, they will find themselves impaled on the end of our bayonetts and crushed beneath the treads of our tanks!

To quote the Oxford Dictionary: Woe: An exclamation of grief or lametation
I think that I got it from the British comedy series 'The Young Ones' where the character Neil the depressed hippie used to say it [did that series ever get screened in the US?]

Britain's vaunted 'Operation Supercharge' has proved to be 'Operation Superflop'.
Upon hearing of the invasion the alert German Panzer divisions of Army Group A launched a counter attack which suceeded in destoying the British invaders as they cowered in the ruins of Dunkerque, Antwerp and Brest.
German casualties were heavy, but were light in comparison to those suffered by Britain and her Free Polish lap dogs.

Beirout Captured
Troops of the Iraqi Liberation Army have secured the city of Beirout in the wake of the Turkish evacuation of the city. While no contact with Turkish troops was reported, it appears that the overzealous Turkish governor has declared war against Iraq and her German Ally!
The German government wishes to emphasis that it has no plans to allow further attacks on Turkish territory, and only allowed the occupation of Beirout as an attempt to prevent the Allies from occuping the city.
