That's difficult. I don't think in terms of Metro subway stations, and I don't go out for social activities very much.

    Still...

It seems like DC is a fair central point for us to meet, although upper to mid Prince George county might also be close to central for us (it takes me 35 minutes to get to New Carrollton, and that should be about the same (or less) from Montgomery county or N VA.

As to what to do... Some activities come to mind. Bowling, arcades, restaraunts. Any of those give plenty of opportunity for talking, but some outside distractions as well.

In DC, I only know a good chinese restaraunt (Charlie Chiangs) and a good sub shop (Quiznos sp?). They are both near Farragut West Metro station. Of course, there are Smithsonian museums there, too (at the Smithsonian station)

As far as eating goes in PG, I'm sure there are chinese, mexican, italian, etc places in that area. I have a friend in New Carrollton; I'll ask him.

I've just called him and left a voice mail message. I'll let you know what he suggests when he returns my call.

Finally, the Americans are going to organize a proper meet. Damn time too! The Brits and we the Dutch already did those year(s) ago. What took ya!?

And don't forget to post pictures of the event!

When I was in Washington DC with my parents (many many many years ago) there was this restaurant called "Babe Ruth" which served some wicked steak! But I don't think they're around anymore (it was a loooong time ago).

And the Smithsonian is always worth a visit.

            Sup fools?

I dunno if it would be a good idea for me. I work nights (At a bar, which could be a good idea) and I go to school during the day, except for Thursday which I don't work and Saturday which I do neither. So I dunno, but I've also deleted Civ2 from my computer because I didn't think I'd be back, but I am so I guess I made a stupid decision.

Anyway I'm trying to get back into the community, so if you guys want to actually meet that could be cool. If we're meeting in DC where at, because I probably won't drive since I live right near a metro, but if we are meeting in MD I'll need directions and ****. Damn I always ****ing cuss all the time, its annoying and Ming probably hates it, that ****ing douchebag ********er.

            So uh, yeah...

Hey Capo, 'bout time you showed your face.

We are working on the place right now. I was thinking Guapos, which is a good mexican restuarant right by the Tenleytown-AU metro stop on the red line in DC.

Cavebear suggests bowling or something else. I've got coupons for a very non-metro accessable bowling place in Gaithersburg.

DC is a good central location, I suggest we stick to it.

So by rereading comments made it seems the following details are set:

It will be on a Saturday evening.
                It will be in DC.
                It will be metro accessable.
It will be at a location with stuff going on, probably a restaurant.

Woodley Park, Cleveland Park, Dupont Circle, Tenleytown. All on the Red Line in NW DC have restaurants nearby.

                  Okay, but...

Alright well, you guys can try and figure it out, the time of day will also be an important issue because I have a strange schedule, basically I work and go to school all day on Monday through Wednesday, then I work and go to school on Friday and I work on Sunday nights. So the day I'm totally free is Saturday but that usually winds up changing, I live in a house with nine people (all of them are between 19 and 23) so we do a lot of **** on the fly. I'm going to have to know when this is going down.

Also, are we doing this just to meet or is there some sort of higher purpose to it? Like should I bring ****?

Alright, well that's where the Capo stands in all of this nonsense, peace.

Well, I found out about places in New Carrollton, but my friend pointed out that the Metro Station isn't in town and you have to take a bus from there to get anywhere. So I guess that won't work. I'll just wait and see if anything definate is decided on...

OK well i've put as clear as posisble what we have figured out so far. So lets work off of that. I've made several suggestions that fit the above criteria. I haven't heard up or down. So what do people think? Does anyone have problems?

                        Well...

It doesn't matter to me at all, if its in DC it just has to be metro accessable, if its anywhere in MD then its cool as long as its not in like Fredneck or any insanity like that (ie Columbia etc.) So that's cool.

Or if you guys want we can "chill" at my house, which is basically nine 19-23 year old fools living together. But chilling does involve heavy drinking and efforts that would make Bob Marley happy, so I don't think you guys would want to do that... or would you?

Still on. Just trying to plan things out. People aren't saying yes or no to any proposals, they are just suggesting new ones.

                              Alright fools...

Alright Ozzy, since you love to be hypocritical (half joke but half serious, you are also guilty of offering suggestions and not deciding yourself... clown) let's do it like this.

We're meeting at Bullfeather's in DC which is a block from the Capitol South metro station. I used to work in the Cannon house office building with Rep. Myrick so if you guys wanna like go in there and see **** I can pull that off too. Any problems with that?

                              Peace.

Me a hypocrite? You just did once again what I described. Threw another option out there and didn't mention any others. Grrrr.

Well to avoid any taint of hypocrisy, your suggestion isn't too bad. Is it a place where congressmen go? And if so, is it expensive?

Now, what about my suggestion, or others?
