History of the World 2.2 - V (Cuz 2 just wasn't big enough)

Asian citizens are rioting in the streets today as the long awaited election was scuttled by the hostile Ming Dynasty from China. With strong ties to the Chinese government the long disposed of monarachist line attempted to come to power once again. Through strong arm tactics this faction was able to permanently disrupt the national election preventing much of the nation from casting a ballot. The Ming heirs also managed to assassinate the outgoing President and several key cabinet members.

Though the true results of the election may never be known the large vocal majority who was carrying at the pre-election polls favored General Genghis Khan for President. In light of this General Khan has assumed control of the government.

Currently there is fighting in the streets for control of Asia as the insurgent Ming troops attempt to wrestle control from General Khan. Despite their success in destroying the election it doesn't look like the Ming Dynasty has a chance of coming back to power, monarchy is just soo 7th century. With his popular support it looks as if General Khan will retain his claim on the Presidency and this insurection will be put down shortly.

President Khan is assembling a cabinet and attempting to address other foreign affairs while the army crushes Ming.

This really, really pisses the hell out of me. Ming has totally ruined my game if something cannot be done about it.

As many of you know I was basing my game entirely on the results of these elections, and now according to Ming they aren't allowed to happen. I really was loosing interest in the game until the idea to have these open elections drew me back in. I really do'nt have any endgame strategy and I really don't care who wins or who looses I just wanted to play out the goals and desires of the characters who win election. If a Green Party candidate wins then i'm putting all my resources into building recycling centers, mass transit and the like, everything depends on the election.

Since I was loosing interest before these elections happened I doubt I'll be able to continue much longer in the game if some deal can't be worked out with the mods to allow these polls to happen. I'm still in for this week, but who knows how long i'll retain interest after that. Just giving you guys a heads up, Ming really ****ed me over.

Lazlo looked into a dark store window to see his reflection; his beard was trimmed and his tie straight, he looked respectable. He was worried though, what could occur here? He thought, he had recieved a message from a man named Gustav Adolph. Other than that he knew little, he was to meet him here in Paris for no expressed purpose. He opened the door to the apartment complex and began walking up the stairs, he finally arrived on the fourth floor and knocked on the door marked '4C.'

"Enter" said a voice from inside, it was either a German or Swedish accent, it was hard to tell.

Reluctantly Lazlo turned the knob and entered the door, there were seven men in suits there, standing up. "Is Mr. Adolph here?" Lazlo asked.

"Yes Lazlo, I am Gustav." said a man with a small packet of papers, he extended his hand, Lazlo shook it "We are very pleased at your arrival, as you know times are tough."

"Actually, I chose not to stay abrest of details in the mainland, my family thought it would cloud my mind." he replied.

"Well, here's a quick overview; there was a group based in Turkey calling themselves the Ottoman Jihad, they were a muslim organization that worked in Bosporus and Khurdistan towards uniting Turkey. Since they were Muslim they hated Jews more than Christians, so they chose to do so originally to annex Turkey into the European Union, partly in hopes that we as enemies of Israel would agree. Now there are rumors that these terrorists attempted to assassinate a Mongolian presidential candidate, and actually managed to kill the WAAR president-" he was interrupted.

"What does this have to do with me? And what is WAAR?" Lazlo asked.

"WAAR is the same as Israel, this has a lot to do with you just listen. Now this angered both Mongolia and permitted Austalian soldiers in support of Israel to stay there, which prompted us after numerous warnings to attack Australian positions in Turkey. Mongolia invaded and the Australians took Bosporus." Gustav continued.

"Bosporus?" said Lazlo "That's insane, father would die if he heared that."

"That's not the end unforunantly, due to the ensuing chaos and disrespect for the government Communists were able to take over the government, and now have the support of a majority of our soldiers. The nation is in shambles, the Republican government has gone underground with scattered pockets with no real communication between any of them. We have to stir the people, hey have lost all pride in their European heritge, if we were to bring back the Monarchy, only symbolically, and unify it with the Republican movement we could really stir up nationalist sentiments." Gustav finished.

"With all due respect, I know nothing of running a nation, or appearing in front of crowds, I've been on an island all of my life, my father and his father have too. I've never even been to Europe!" he replied.

"I understand your concern, but it won't be that horrible. You won't have any real responsability other than rallying he troops and the people, you are centerpeice to the New Europe movement, if the Republicans do not return to power the Communists may start another world war! Their goal is to turn the world into a Communist Paradise, we can't allow that to happen it will take all freedom from everyone. If they support the ousted Communist governments in Mali, the Zulu Federation, and China it could spell trouble."

"I just, I don't know what to say." said Lazlo.

"You are a Medici! Europe needs you!" Gustav said...

Australian Defence Department : TOP SECRET

Inside was a report detailing the Australians plans for taking all EU mediteranean citys and moving in the Bombers and Missile Silos.

The finders thought about handing over the documents to the EU, but then thought better off it and destroyed all the documents.

Vladimir Lenin calmly walked up the plank to the ship as crowds amassed holding signs touting the Communist leader. They were chanting his name as he waved and smiled, surrounded by the Cheka, his national police force.

"Comrade Lenin." said a smiling Che Guevera "How long until we embark?"

"As soon a possible Che, this meeting is of the utmost importance, have you contacted their ambassadors?" Lenin asked.

"Yes sir, everything is in place, we're meeting at an undisclosed location thogh, they will fill us in when we reach port, probably by radio." he replied checking his watch.

"Alright perfect, Trotsky and Pochenko will be in charge while I'm away, it shouldn't be too long though. Oh yes, before we go please tell General Pochenko to beef up security around Alessi, we don't want the Republicans to free her, it would really f*ck everything up" he said begining to walk up the stairs.

"Comrade, she's still alive?" he asked.

"Yes, we won't kill her, we'll let her rot in prison. Hurry though, you're coming with me right?" Lenin asked waving to the masses.

"Yes Comrade Lenin, Pochenko is at headquarters no?" Che asked as he began to walk away from the ship.

"He should be yes, you've got twenty minutes. I want doubled security there and some reserve forces around the perimeter, they'll try their damnedest while I'm gone." Lenin said reaching the top of the stairwell.

"Alright sir, I'm on it!" he said as he saluted and ran into the crowd.

Louis Blanc, a member of the Communist party from France approached Lenin with open arms smiling "Comrade Lenin, a pleaure to meet you again." he said as the two embraced.

"Ah its been too long Louis, are you ready to talk Turkey with the Chinese?" Lenin asked.

"Not really, I have no clue what this is about." he said.

THE VOICE

She wiped the sweat from his brow. He was in a coma now.
She was thinking about the last things he had said. He knew what she would do. He was asking for some compromises. He wanted to see the days of the Pacific Pact return but that was impossible. This was difficult for her..... though she felt a pang as she watched him lying there, never to realise his own visions.

If anyone tried to talk they gasped and held their throat in pain until they relaxed into silence. She was as a goddess of old. All powerfull, precise and deadly.

The course of the nation had changed forever. She was moving fast, too fast for her homeland friends but nothing would stop her. Carpe diem. She would seize this moment as she sees her future visions unfold before her.

She had appointed Captain Morant, the brilliant military strategist, to run the South American Mission (SAM).

She had appointed Prince Saladin, the master of deception and trickery, to run the Middle Eastern Mission (MEM).

She had appointed Captain Kelly, invincible terrorist, to run Operation Africa (OA).

And she herself would directly monitor the Asian Front and home defence.

"Welcome to Exodus Prince Medici." said a smiling Gustav Adolph as they entered the doorway at the bottom of the stairwell. The compound was originally going to serve as a military/air base for the Northern Seas until the Australians invaded Bosporus. At that point the construction workers were called back to aide in the reconstruction efforts that would eventually have to occur, and a hold was put on all new military facilities until the struggle had ended. Unfortunantly the Communists had taken over following this event and the compound was left unfinished. For the Republicans this served as a secret location, and would be the base of their operations until more success was achieved.

"Wow, this is amazing." said Prince Medici as he looked around, there were computers and machines buzzing as countless numbers of uniformed soldiers did various things.

"Yes, hopefully we will can use this base for a long time, I'm sure the Commies will find us out eventually. In the meantime we are safe though- ah Christina, I'd like you to meet Prince Lazlo Medici." he said as a young woman approached.

"The pleasure is all mine Prince Medici, I hope Gustav has been treating you well." she said smiling.

"He has done a splendid job madame, I didn't catch your name?" the prince said kissing her hand.

"My oh my, quite the charmer?" she said.

"Simple manners madame, your name?" the Prince asked again.

"Christina Van Haussen sir, you don't mind if I call you sir do you?" she asked.

"Its perfectly fine."

"Alright kids, let's get to work. Lenin is going to America to meet with the Chinese, we've discovered this through our espionage tactics within the Communist Party, we aren't quite sure what exactly is at stake here but an overhaul of the Chinese government back to Communism may not be far away, or might be part of Lenin's plan. He is an internationalist, he wants the world to become a Communist Utopia." Gustav said.

"I don't understand though, I read in the papers that Lenin had been arrested for conspiracy against Winston Churchill, how did he get out?" asked Prince Medici.

"Well Lazlo, that we aren't sure of. It is interesting though, just how did that wiley bastard escape prison?....."

Arkangelsk, Russia; Three Months Prior...

"So you see Mr. Trotsky, you are nothing more than a slave, or a machine whichever you prefer. It doesn't matter to these people, they are like vultures, picking apart any carcass they come accross no matter how decrepid and rotted it may be." Lenin continued.

"I see, well that is quite interesting indeed." Leon replied.

"The only way to stop them is revolution, some Socialists cry 'peace, peace' peace and words will get you nowhere. Peace is merely the security of the capitalist. The only reason they remain at peace is because at the time it is the easiest way to exploit the people, and to prepare for their next war. These pigs fight amongst themselves over small plots of land, small resources, and huge populations. We can't use the legal system, it is their tool, religion and faith? That is their way of keeping us silent, it is like a drug to the poor. They tell them that they will one day ascend into some chimerical world of perfection, it is a lie. That is all it is." Lenin said.

"Well, that all makes perfect sense." Trotsky said, forgetting to change the tape in the tape recorder after it had stopped, he was now begining to change his status in this prison; he was no longer there as a reporter interviewing an inmate, but felt he was now a student listening to a great prophet.

"Of course it does, it is based on history's pattern, the dialectic. You can not see the truth until you accept that dialectical determinism is reality. Only then can you know, but it is not a very hard thing to understand. You must simply look at history, at reality, at who is in control and why. Our laws, our faith, our culture are all simply tools to keep those in power in power. You may cite the Republican revolutions, or the change over from tribal power to fiefdoms and kingships, but that isn't change in those in power. It merely represents a change in the means of production. Women are controlled and turned into factories, they offer these pigs primal lust and when necessary more people through childbirth to exploit and use to create their profits. And what are these profits used for? Expensive food, unnecessary vacations and lavish drugs. These profits are also used for more specific evils, police forces are created to force the poor into submission, armies are created to steal more resources from their fellow capitalists. Enough resources exist to feed this planet, and to keep it comfortable, but instead a mere 2% of it enjoys advanced comfort while the rest barely survive." the prisoner continued, he rubbed his forehead "And for these words I am here in prison, I am Valdimir Ilyich Lenin, I have done no wrong, I didn't conspire to kill anybody. "Well, there is evidence that they have a lack of evidence, therefore you may be off the hook." Trotsky replied.

"Hah! You believe far too much in your legal system, it is nothing more, as I've already stated, than a tool of the bourgeousie. Judges are appointed by legislators, which are all rich capitalists. You don't see a quarrelation there?" Lenin said.

"Well that all makes sense but-" just then the guard opened the cell.

"Alright fruitcake, your time is up." he said tapping his watch.

Leon looked at Lenin and raised his eyebrows...

Leon gripped his pen tightly as the guard continued to speak "C'mon Mr. Trotsky, I'm serious, no more time - goddam reporters think they run the world." with that Leon turned around and shoved the pen into the guard's throat, he quickly threw his hands up, clutching the wound as blood spurted out violently.

Lenin stood up and punched the guard in the face "C'mon Comrade, we must move quickly. How did you arrive here?" he asked.

"A car, its outside." Leon responded.

"Perfect" Lenin said as he kneeled over the officer and pulled out his gun, he fired two shots into the guard's head and said "Hurry..."

Bosporus, Turkey; two days later...

"What the hell is this sh*t!" Carlos Morales said as he threw Trotsky's papers on his desk "I can't print that, people will think we're wackos!"

"Why can't we? Its not like there's a law against printing this stuff." Trotsky replied.

His boss rubbed his temples, "Christ, ya know, I swear to God if I hadn't married your sister you'd be out of a job. This is the fifth time you've come to me with a worthless story. I sent you over there to interview a killer and you come back with a f*cking sociology textbook. You know the goddam Post is going to kill us in sales if we keep this up."

"Carlos, look. This is the mind of Lenin, this is good stuff, this will make people think its important that-"

"What the hell are you talking about? Nobody is going to read this filth, look how you've packaged it - you don't believe this garbage do you?" he asked.

"Well it makes sense." Trotsky replied.

"Makes sense? Its insanity, this guy killed our President and now you're one of his little minions. You need a vacation, you're lucky I'm not going to make it permenant. Look, take some time off, go to Greece or Sicily or something, I hear Mexico is nice this time of year." said Mr. Morales as he threw Trotsky's article in the trash can.

Trotsky quickly pulled it out "You know what? Forget it, I quit. This is ridiculous, what happened to integrity, what happened to-"

"We are a business Leon, this isn't some kind of goddam game we're playing here, we are here to sell newspapers. I have a deadline to make, I have a specific amount of papers I have to sell. When people read that garbage they're going to be turned off, the Paris Post will have us down for the count. Its not pesonal Leon, its just trash, that's all." he explained.

"Forget it, seriously, I'll have my stuff cleared out by the end of the week. You'll see my article Carlos, you'll see it somewhere." Leon retorted.

Prince Saladin: MEM

She sends a message to her kindred in Persia.

Prince Saladin is required to 'suggest' to the WAAR that an alliance be established. His mission is to woo the various factions in the WAAR and offer an incentive: Bosporus.

It has come to the attention of the Asian Foreign Affairs department that the nations of EUSSR and Australia are attempting to court the favor of WAAR for use as a pawn in their international game of chess. With the tense international situation it is time for true Asians such as UAS and WAAR to be secure in their continent from foreign aggression. Europe has been driven from Asia, now we stand at the brink of driving those Asian impostors the Chinese from our rightful homeland. Once proudly Asian the Chinese have turned their backs on their motherland and in fact even moved the heart of their nation, their capitol to some far away island in the Pacific. They are not proud of their Asian heritage as we are, they rejoice in their Americaness and scoff at our culture and way of life. They occupy land that belongs to rightful Asian nations of WAAR and UAS.

The dirty Europeans claim they are victims of Asian aggression! Ha! We know better. After their unprovoked invasion of soveriegn West Asian territory and their withdrawal that destroyed Asian property as their withdrew. Both WAAR and UAS were victims of their crimes. Pacificist leaders led Asia then and were able to allow the Europeans escape from punishment for their crimes and they responded with hate and visciousness.
