No wucken furries, Hydey, I'm not even remotely tempted. Gee, it's bizarre walking around in 1956.

So, are we to assume that Brisbane is the Australian equivalent of the Ozarks (re: "Deliverance")?

If so...make sure you keep a clean pair of undies on at all times...wouldn't do to put off your new suitors, should your car break down someplace desolate at night.

What have you done to deserve such a fate, Finbar?
Messed up the wife's knick-knack table again, did you?

                  I don't believe it!

                  Finbar is a liberal!?!

                  NO WAY....!
He's constantly sending me biblical tracts by ICQ, endorsing work for dole programs and claims to have a life size cutout of Charlton Heston in his office, right under the mounted head of an endangered antelope.

I think you have him confused with someone else.

one of the real perplexities of this world is the differnet definitions of the word liberal , and expecialy when lined up to a political party... In Australia we have two main politicla bodies.. One is called Labor , which is supported by the Trade Unions and the average working man , labor people want australai to become a republic and hat ethe royal family, then there is the liberals, who get all the business and upper end of town support, liberals are agaisnt becoming a republic and love the queen Finbar falls into the latter category... of course there are some minor parties who get about 5% support . people like the democrats who nobody knows what they stand for , the greens who simply want to stop all development and grow more marijana crops (they are half right) . and of course the great and mighty one nation party , but we wont mention those rednecks !!!

Nuh. Ozark folk wouldn't be seen dead in the company of Brisbane-ites.

Raz - I'm in an apartment in Spring Hill, but working at the house of one of the producers in Bardon. Or is it Barden? Nice spot, seems to be in some foothills. Where are you?

I'm an old-fashioned, unreconstructed leftie and proud of it.

                              Finbar a lefty ???

Not that far left if you can actually spell Finny , you dont drink enough beer either to be a lefty...

Dont know Bardon (Barden ??) probably another Yuppie suburb. For real down to earth Left wing Labor voters , you need to come down to Logan and Woodridge, they get much lefter than that lot.

If you looking for real yokels the rednecks, go north to Redcliffe or West to Ipswich, great fun !!!

I live about 35 minutes south of Brissie central, about 30 minutes to Gold Coast... New mortgage belt of Brisbane, us wannabes if we couldbes , cant afford Spring Hill , but dont like the cheap suburbs either people live in Drewvale.......

No cable modem access out here, damn backward state...

At elast back in Perth I could have got cable....
