Alright, on the rule changes...

I am really indifferent as to whether or not ships get an increased movement or not, but of course Deity has some good points. Changing rules mid game is kinda f'ed up. So despite whether or not this change would have improved the game quality or not, I think we should just let it go.

So since Prometheus won't be here this week, we need a sub...anyone have someone in mind?

I have a few people to ask, so I'll get back on here if I have any news...

Alright there are plenty of non-character related items to cover here so I'll go down the list.

First off, thank you Alexander's Horse for giving us a little hint as far as Deity goes! (Deity I'm screwin with ya... well kinda)

The first issue, well it isn't really an issue, just an update. Sekong can no longer play, it seems that family issue that arose during last week's session is going to effect his availability, so he found a replacement for himself; Hydey. I'd like to welcome Hydey to the HOTW family, its been changing a lot, but our core (Deity, Capo and Drake) has yet to erode (I'd like to consider Prometheus and Chris core players too, but technically they ain't). So anyway Hydey will be taking over the reigns of the Mongolian hordes...

We also need a sub for Prometheus because he is hitting the beach on Easter like a good Christian... yeah...

What we need basically is a talented player, and one that will be able to cary on the Asian party line as well as keep the strict interests of China at heart. I actually think China itself would be more important than the Asian Alliance party line (at least to China) so if we can I'd like to have Prometheus fill in this prospective sub rather than Deity, Myself, Drake, etc... So Prom if you can do that before you go that would be perfect. I'll try to find a sub before tonight (Teusday) so you won't have to wait too long.

Deity misconstrued my futuristic units repair for a "tweek." I was toying around with futuristic units on the same rules.txt and FORGOT TO TAKE THEM OFF, the Units have not been tested enough and the technology is ****ed up towards the end, so I think it would be super important that I fix this, if anyone else has an issue with this please send all comments to the nearest brick wall...

As far as CHANGING the rules.txt for game play purposes, I think that upping the movement of ships that have yet to be created is a good idea. Under the current methodology it takes what? 50 years at least to cross the Atlantic? I don't think that's very realistic, and I don't see a problem with "changing the rules" midgame because (a) we are not robots or atheletes playing for sport, this is just a game for fun and (b) the rules have yet to even effect the game yet and (c) if it effects all of us equally who cares?

On that same note, however, I really don't care either way whether we change them or not, I just think the argument for is stronger than the argument against.

We still have yet to resolve the host issue, who will take over hosting responsability?

There's one thing I failed to include in my laundry list of topics, and I'd really like to say it...

Sekong thanks a lot for everything. You've been a really good trooper the entire time, and have taken a lot of garbage (in and out of the game), you have really been a good player and I think I speak for everyone when I say that you will be missed. HOTW will always remember your crazy ass!

I hope whatever is preventing you from playing is a good thing, and if it isn't, I hope it is resolved for you and your family. Best of luck bro, I can't wait to play with you again.

Alright, fine, then when EVERYONE has Navigation, can we add ship movements?

Im not trying to gain an unfair advantage, im trying to speed up the action of the game. So whenever you feel circumstances allow us to up the speed of ships without me getting this mythical advantage, do be sure to tell us.

Hydey just told me that he can only sub for this week because of holiday. I think I still need someone else to take over Mongol permanently.

Basically we are in need of two subs, one temporary and one permanent.

Some mistakes, as I've said, were discovered in the rules.txt as it concerns the Fascist and Communist governments, and their related units. So please DL the rules.txt <a href="http://members.aol.com/nkreefer/rules.txt">HERE</a>, it will allow you to take a look at it, look it over and see if there are any problems. Nothing was changed except the following:

* Spies and Partisans were given the sub tags; most of you should have this, I did, but Chris didn't so in case I did something wrong I fixed that problem.

* Storm Troopers had their movement decreased.

* There was a serious problem with the Fascist tech rate, so it was set back at 50% as was the Max effective rate.

* Communism was bumped to support five units, rather than three.

These are the rules changes, so please note them. I had an idea that allows the creators of the wonders to change their names, therefore we would have "The Broken Hill War Academy" or whatever. So if you want that to happen I could do that after every session/wonder.

The game is played every thursday from 8est to 11est, though we're hoping to start earlier.

You should know before you volunteer markus, that the pace of the game is quite slow.

Deity asked if I would like to sub in this game for this week as it is good friday and I will not be working, I said I can sub and that is still the case but only for this week . Your usual playing time of Friday daytime is impossible for me as I have to earn a living (work). I am happy to sub this week if required for any civ you require me to sub in .

Well its the day before the big session, and we still have two open spots, unless Hydey is still going to fill in, I have yet to hear anything from him personally so for now I am going to assume he is not officially in yet.

We need a temporary replacement (1 week) for China, and a permenant for Mongolia. So I'd like to know if anyone is up for it?

Or else I am going to have to tap my buddies...

New cities founded in china and in the ameriacas and many new units built,improvments to many cities led to increased population and the people where happy.

Alright well its Thursday, around lunchtime.

We have a full seven for the game, but two are only temporary replacements and we will have to work on getting a new Mongolia over the course of the next week I guess.
