PS deity is slightly colourblind and slightly cross-eyed; that's why I name my cities with names like BUGA so I can see the surrounding terrain more clearly. CAPS helps me immediately identify my cities for trade purposes etc

Last night finbar and Hydey and I played a game where I am winning at a canter

Btw, as I told f and h, I'm going to get really cheesed off if people start not wanting to play games where they are losing. I have played some real stinkers in which I'm sure others were having a fine old time.

No, I was grateful for that

The best example I can think of is a game with makeo and hydey where I lost my capital to barbs early and spent the rest of the game in a hopelessly behind position. We played that right through till makeo landed his friggin spaceship (first time I've seen it).

Why Hydey did absolutely nothing to stop makeo until 2 turns before the spaceship landed remains a mystery.

I remember hearing about that. Hydey complained when Makeo sank his transport full of troops.
