The Horse Empire concentrates on trade and population growth in this vulgar government called democracy. We build Shakespeares Theatre to assist our trade. The GL expires but we trade for electricity with Makeo, which eases our pain.

The year is 1630 and the sun never sets on the Aztec empire.

The uneasy relationship between the Aztecs and their near neighbours the Sioux came to a head recently when unprovoked attacks on outlying Aztec villages and citizens by the Sioux saw the loss of life and destruction of Aztec infrastructure. Fighting was heaviest in the hills surrounding Coyotopec and Cempola. The peacefull Aztec farmers and villagers were set upon with no warning by Sioux geurillas. Although poorly armed the geurillas were able to decimate the defenceless civilians.
In secret talks between Aztec officials in the area and a local Sioux Chief the Aztecs were able to purchase the loyalty of this chief, whereupon he was transported to the capital Tenochtitlan and is now believed to be working in a local tannery. It is believed that although useful in ending the war, temporarily, against the Sioux this man could not be trusted and was just as likely to sell his loyalty to the highest bidder.
The newly aquired village of Ayotzinco was welcomed into the great Aztec empire.
A worrying situation has been reported to the Aztec government concerning the Sioux's acquiring of advanced military technology. The Aztec government can only assume someone hostile towards the Aztecs is supplying the Sioux with this technology in an attempt to destabilize the region surrounding Coyotopec and Cempola.

A concerted trade effort by the Aztec merchant guild has led to a boom in commerce and scientific development. Luxuries are at an all time high and experts predict the current economic climate can only improve. Both the Aztec and there allies the Zulus are expected to benefit from this increased trade, initiated by Makeo King of the Aztec.

Colonization of newly discovered lands continues although at a less frenzied pace than in the past. The Aztec population has reached an all time high, recently topping the 7 million mark.

The recent construction of Makeo's Dam in Calixtilahauca adds to the 4 wonders already in Aztec cities. With the most wonders of any civilization on the planet tourism is also booming. Attractions include, Marco Polos, Mikes Chap, Bachs Cath, Adam Smiths and Makeo's Dam.

The peoples of the Aztec/Zulu alliance are truly blessed to live in such a progressive and enlightened environment.

'Tis indeed 1630AD and the Zulus - nee the ****holes, before an Autosave start dispensed with the tribe name - roll merrily along in concert with their good buddies the Aztecs.

A skirmish or two with the adjacent Chinese has caused the occasional headache, but the Chinese know they live on borrowed time. They will, eventually, be incorporated into the Zulu way of life. Yes, stolen from their mothers, sent to assimilate with Zulu families. And if that infamous suburban solicitor rooted in the 1950s with the vision of a blind Guide Dog, the soul of a pair of clapped Dunlop Volleys, and a heart the size and tenderness of an uncooked Surprise Pea won't apologise in another world at another time, the Zulu leader won't either.

It was noted, with great interest, that other Empires - namely the Horses and Deietians - suddenly started diplomatic approaches offering all sorts of mainly redundant technologies. Presumably an attempt to slow the Zulu/Aztec technological march by burdening them with meaningless acquisitions. Nup. Sorry. That sort of thing went out with George Speight's Insurance and Mahogany businesses. And his taste in wrap-around skirts.

The Power Graph - for what it's worth - showed an interesting state of affairs in 1630AD. The Deietians appeared to have paused their climb and moved vaguely sideways. Perhaps a respite from growth in favour of development in other areas is underway.

Interesting times lie ahead of us all. Very interesting times.
