In a new era of modesty, I did not want to brag.
However, I do believe in accuracy....
The goal of the North is simple, reduce the South to 40 or less pts worth of citys (I have built citys on either yellow tiles-1 pt, purple tiles-2 pts, and red tiles- 5 pts.) and to do it as quickly as possible cause every turn the South gains 2 VP for just surviving.
The South has 3 goals, 1) survive as many turns as they can and 2) take North citys to gain 1 VP for each city PT they take paid only once per game( in otherwords if you take Cinnci 3 times, you get paid 2 VPs only once)
    3) Take Washington DC or New york and gain 20 VPs + 10 VPs every turn held or Take both and win.
The score can be used to compare with other Southern Players.
I just finished placing the units on the board and reworking the scenerio editor. Still have a few things left to do but in principle, I am done. This is a rough draft of the entire scenerio.
Also, I have simplified the movement rules....
Each turn The North can move 30 points worth of units.
Each turn The South can move a max of 25 points but depends on this formula- total city points held / 2.
    Move Point Cost
    Unit or ship 1
    Army 2
    Amphibious Ocean Landing *double
*can only land an Army once per game either by transporting to a port or Amphibiously.

This time I was laughing with him, not at him. That is supporting.

                FINISHED!
There were several things I just fixed up.
                1) production- had to cut it down so I made every square produce no resources and changed the production of the 3 tiles and then went through and rehomed city units to get production workable!
                2) had to prevent south citys from being destroyed so I gave then the Great wall
                3) I built barracks and city walls in the north along with coastal fortresss.
ICQ me, I want to try it out! 159997386

yet more improvements. Had to get The North to earn more cash then The South. So I added markets, banks and stockmarkets to the North. The North will now produce 75 more gold per turn at start of game.

I'll give it a go, I'll enjoy a good Civ2 scenario any day.

                      Strat,

Where can I find the rest of your scenario? It's a bit pointless trying to play it if you don't include the events-, pedia- and rules.txt (or unit graphics).

Well, captv, not being an expert at making scenerios as I have not made any before, could you tell me how to change the rules.txt so that it becomes permanant. I load the scenerio and it works on my computer but I assume it does not show the new unit values, icons and the terrign value and icon changes that I made.
I used the scenerio editor to do this and saved it as a scenerio. Apearently that was not enough? Please send the info that I need to make it work cau7se it looks really cool, on my computer any ways....
(I know that I can change the rules.txt on my computer and host with all value changes working (except the icon changes) but the armies look cool, I made black blocks with the army or general name written in the box in either red or black and the red, purple and yellow tiles citys are built on makes it easy to determine when the game ends and how many MFs the South gets)

                                Trying it out now.

The setup looks interesting, but I'm having the following problems:

                                * The game doesnt show your tiles or units, just phalanx and a tank where I guess Lee should be.

                                * At start of game playing the south the game disbands 2 units, a phalanx from Norfolk and a clan from Vicksburg.

I think the thing to do is to zip your rules.txt, units and terrain file and we just unzip them into a seperate folder. Starting up the scenario should display the right things then.

(But I'm no expert, might want to check this out with the people in the creation forum.)

Btw, a movement point is just moving a unit regardless of distance right?
