'cos I'm into x2x2 games right now. and how many x2x2 successions have you seen before? lets try something new for a change.
and we will not have a big mess of cities and units, 'cos the casulty rate will be SOooo high. and if you don't take those casulties, the enemy will take your cities.
I neither know the scen nor really where all those icy countries are, also !
they are next thing south of north pole.
come on! is the knowledge of the scenario so important?
its just like playing the original game starting 4000bc.
samekind of leap of faith into the unknown.....
obiwan: no problem. we will remember your good will.
so who's playing next? anyone?

kibitz = observe (a bridge term from Yiddish???)

Yes, but "observe" doesn't convey the flavour. A true kibitzer never actually plays the game but is nontheless more skillful than any of the players. A kibitzer must comment on the game at all times. A novice kibitzer simply uses 20-20 hindsight to point out mistakes and what the player should have done better. A seasoned kibitzer uses grunts, laughter, shrugs and other body language to convey the same message, without ever making a direct statement that could be challenged by one of the players. Coffee house kibitzing is an art form that people will travel miles to see.

RJM - I've played high level bridge for nearly 40 years - tell me about coffee houses

I think the term kibitzing was borrowed by bridge players from chess. I think the term was used in the coffee houses of Vienna (or Budapest) where you could sit on the pavement and play chess all day for a few kopeks (or whatever the currency of the Austro Hungarian empire was). So coffee house style is where there is plenty of "robust" criticism. (Kinda like here really!) Well that's the story as I learned it

Why am I playing with the .scn and still see stealth bombers?
The same generally happens to me with the French version when I try to play a scenario from the community. Julius Brenzaida has a solution : renaming all .txt files to fre. files. It works when he does it, but I haven't been able to make it work by myself yet .
I have the same kind of problems (for example my diplomats are pictured as artillery, and my artillery as factories...). Unfortunately my friend Julius is busy elsewhere (RL), so I guess I'll be unable to play this one.
