My sons play a little as well but I don't call them civ players as they don't suffer from "just one more turn" syndrome.

I like Civ2 alot and played it for a long time, but I personally like Civ3 more. That is when you have changed the corruption so it is not so absurdly crippling as it is usual. Though the scenarios are much more fun than in Civ3, and thats probably whats keeping Civ2 alive its endless replayabilitie.

CIV2 is definitely the best ever
I've been playing it for 6 years and I am hung to it as if it was the 1st day

I have about 2 dozen computer games. 2 of which are Civ2 and ToT. I doubt I've played any of the others more than a dozen times.
Why did I buy (or *cough*acquire*cough*) those other games? I was looking for something as playable, as addictive, and as subtle as Civ2 (and variants thereon) are.
NO luck so far
But the bright side is, I play a game of Civ or ToT every week, or so... for the last 4 years...

I've been ripped off on so much game software it's ridiculous. But I still play Civ 2, even though I play SMAC more. I love em both.

certainly one of the best games ever made... although there have been more addictive games made...I'm 49% Apathetic, 23% Indifferent, 46% Redundant, 26% Repetative and 45% Mathetically Deficient.Comment
