    Chieftain of the Month now has a civ 2 version using the 2.4.2 patch for Civ 2 Classic! I have included the settings like always following this introduction.
    Size:large
    Mass:large
    Land Form:Archipelago
    Climate:wet
    Temperature:temperate
    Age:3 billion years
    Civs:7
    Barbarians:villages only
    special rules:none
    Civ:Celts
    Ruler:Boadicea
    Citys:bronze age
    Start Techs:Bronze Working
    Saves Required:1 A.D. and the turn before the game ends

      I believe that people download the beginning save file then play it untill the end of the game. After everybody plays they compare their save files. The person with the highest score is the Civ2 Chieftain of the Month.

          Yep... It's a "Game of the Month for Dummies", so to speak.
          Last GOTM was on Deity level while there were quite a few who'd love to play a GOTM but just can't play at the higher difficulty levels (and Civ2 still seems to be getting new fans), so...
          Civilization II: maps, guides, links, scenarios, patches and utilities (+ Civ2Tech and CivEngineer)
