  • What do you listen to when you're playing?

So, what is it? The game music? An MP3? A MIDI file? Or do you turn off the music?

Myself? I have a rather extensive collection of game MIDIs. Usually, I play Magus's theme song from Chrono Trigger or Exdeath's theme from Final Fantasy V. If I'm in a less evil mood, then it's probably going to be something random, or I might just use the in-game music.

Sometimes the game music, sometimes MP3´s, sometimes a music CD and sometimes no music at all.

CD. Lately hard rock/heavy metal almost exclusively It's good to have found that crack that allows you play CIV2 w/o the disk

Nothing. If I don't like the music, it gets on my nerves. If I do like it, it keeps my attention from matters of national importance. Or I get so absorbed in my empire that I stop hearing anything. (Those few times when I did try music during a Civ game, I listened to "Mars" by Holst, over and over.)
        Truth is not negotiable.

Crack? Is this for later editions of the game? 2.42 runs fine w/o the disk. No music or heralds or movies, but I turn most of that stuff off, anyway.

I often play the same CD back to back while i'm playing computer games (any).
I often start assosiating a certain CD with a certain Game.

To this very day, I can't play my Yello CD without seeing 100 lemmings running about the room.

Nothing really, I like playing without the sound on.

Mostly the game music; it gives me the "civ" feeling.

I like the game music, especially The Crusades and The World of J.V. The Crusades sounds simple and almost hopeless, like Europe was during the worst of the Dark Ages while TWoJV has a great feeling of huge power and majesty. Maybe I listen too much...
