I have a Dimension 4300 Dell Pentium 4-I just got it about two years ago. I decided to buy Civ ii before i got Civ iii but i can't get civ ii to work. It installs fine after a custom install (i have plenty of sufficient space) and i see that WinG is one of the files installed and i can go into it-however when i try and run civ ii it says WinG Error 2-Can't Run. I'm not sure what to do-Do i need to customize which video system civ ii uses? And if so, how do i do that?

You need the latest WinG & Indeo drivers - they are IIRC to be found on Mercator's site.

      What does "IIRC" mean?
No greater love has one than to lay down their life for a friend.

"If I Recall Correctly" (but he didn't )... It's on Cedric Greene's site... But that only solves any Video for Windows (Indeo driver) problems, and that seems to work fine.

Um... What Windows version do you have (e.g. 98, Me, XP)? And how did you see WinG was installed?

Perhaps you should try re-installing WinG anyway (it's in a separate folder on your civ2 CD).
