I'm with SG, for SP there is no good reason to play double production. For MP training though it could be useful.Comment

Yes, I highly highly recommend to anybody that going to make the leap into MP and play with people that prefer 2x production, to practice a few times first. City location must be thoroughly thought through for MP and then considerations for 2x. AND practice just to see how the software responds. (i.e. sqaure selection when pop increases in the city screen is even worse than in 1x).It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Also, if you play MP with barbs, you should practice beforehand so you know exactly what to expect from them, and what you can get away with. This is not something you want to experiment with in an actual game.

haha, the only x2 sp is for strat building...not for hitting the ai....
