Kcbob, I hope you’ve learrned something. And we don’t all ski all the time. In fact, we even have many McDonalds, not that I go to them, preferring la restauration à la française.

Romanche! Swiss! That's what I meant.
That was interesting Julius. But now, the real question. Do you have any barbeque joints in Switzerland?

Woops, kcbob, at the risk of being flamed into ashes by Julius, there ain't no such language (dialects aside) as Swiss the inhabitants of that country speak French, German and/or Italian - to quote someone's sig - "Bring on the flames"
:apprehensive:

No flames and no ashes intended ! Outside Europe, they are few those who know well about such little countries.
It is true that the Swiss don’t speak swiss. They indeed speak German (75%), French (20%), Italian (4%) and to make it more complicated also Romanche (a mix of Latin, Gernam and Italian) for a very little minority. Those 4 languages are guaranteed by the constitution. I am a native of the french speaking part, so my mother language is french, and I have learned some German and then some English in school. Oh yeah and I studied some Latin, too. But don’t ask me to speak it

As long as you don't mix it up with cheese !
By the way, it's in another topic, but Kcbob, I was wondering if you were mastering the french language ? I've noticed a few french citations in your comments.
Ca serait merveilleux.

Chocolate covered cheese? Hmmm. Or would that be a cream filled gouda? Naaah.
As for the French, I took three years in high school and what you've seen in my posts pretty well exhausts what I've retained from those years.
How well do you speak it and what are the other languages you've learned? I'm guessing French, English, maybe German, and of course, Swiss.

Nope, I couldn't see it (your tongue) because of all the egg on my face blurred my vision!

I'm sorry. I thought my tongue was clearly visible inside my cheek.

There are Swiss players in the NHL??? How do they play hockey in skis???

Well, it’s what I call a “cliché”, if I’ve ever known one. Yes and I eat great chocolate every morning. I just hope that my swiss citizenship will allow you to forgive me if I build cities on mountains although we’re trying to be perfectionnist.
I am glad to learn that I have joined the team. On gigamaps one should always look for great city sites with lot of ressources. Most continents are big enough to fit our perfectionnist needs.

Kcbob, is there an update on this one ?
Do I make the team ?
Or like all those swiss players in the NHL (Riesen, Von Arx) am I sent back to the minors ?

LOL!
There are Swiss players in the NHL??? How do they play hockey in skis???
And, of course, how could we not have the father of all gigamaps in this game?
How about:
Scouse Gits
Smash
Maud'Dib
kcbob
Julius
Still room for a couple more if anyone's interested. And thank you, Scouse, for the copy of the game in progress. No real need for that, though, as I can barely zip and unzip let alone keep tabs on a website of all the moves.

The Scouse Gits in Concert 4000 BC - 3050 BC
We started life with two specials in sight and were fortunate enough to find ourselves one square from the four special site of Perfection City our wonderful Capital. Next we founded Only Three; a good non-ICS distance away! Huts yielded 50g, an Archer and a Horseman; our wise men pondered long on the problems of alphabet and Ceremonial Burial and with the non-ICS secret of Republic in their sights embarked upon the study of Writing.
3050 BC save game on way to Smash (copy to kcbob)
