I'd like to second that, these cities NEED them ASAP. I'm putting my Marshal position behind this one and ordering this to get done.

I also have some opinions on the belorussian front requests:
Barracks Pytavlo 68k (not a priority)
Zangalov Grain elevator 106k (let it wait)
Shakakov red guard 44k (it can wait)
Vietbsk Sturmovik 253k (that's an awfully big price tag for a front that already has quite a few)
Arzamus redguard 52k (It can wait)

        Serafimovick Sturmovik 178

Kursk AA batery it is very expensive but we will need it, you can disband the red guards and the cossacks in order to make it cheaper

        • Request for Rush-buying, Murmansk front, june:

Cossacks in Murmansk city 76 gold (I sold improvements worth 160 gold this turn, so I hope I can get this small sum for my front this month. )

          • Due to the restructuring of the goverment and formation of the Politburo I have been appointed Armaments Minister. Our esteemed comrade EZRhino is taking over my position as Economic Minister.

The plan Conmcb25 and I agreed upon with the Trade Convoys is to use the UK-Homed ones from Murmansk to set up UK-Baku (done), UK-Groznyy and UK-Maikop trade routes. And to use the NON Homed convoys from Iran to set up routes between each of the 3 oil cities. This should maximise the trade arrows per-turn produced and give lots of Rubles as one off bonuses.

Be sure to heed the order from our Marshal (above), and always make sure you leave about 300k Rubles in the bank at the end of the turn to prevent sell-offs.

Oh, and since I'm moving out of my office now: there's half a bottle of Vodka in the bottom drawer of the desk, you can have it as a welcoming present.

              • Armaments Ministry Rush-Buy requests for June 1942:
                (in order of urgency)

Air Force Base in Kirov- 122k Rubles
(this would mean 3 airlifted units from the Urals per turn!)

Grain Elevator in Krasnoviskersk- 96k Rubles
(this city has huge recourses nearby to exploit but need a bigger population of workers to utilise them)

Steel Mill in Zlatoust- 322k Rubles
                (more steel=more T-34 tanks!)

                • Edited from original: Actual, I will post now, apologies to EZRhino, but I sensed the Marshall wished to have the turn posted.

                  Econ Minister June 1942

                  Approvals:
                  Baltic:
AA and a KV1 in Luga and Novgorod. The Marshall wished, and the Marshall's will shall be done.

                  Murmansk:
Cossacks in Murmansk city 76 gold. Granted, since you brought in surplus money, but be advised my attention is now moved down south along the Don, while your front seems secure for now.

                  1st Ukranian:
Bought the AA battery in Kursk and the Sturmovick in Seramofovorich.
Expensive requests, considering the Marshall already ordered me to buy for the Baltic. Approved the AA gun, since the city had none, this Kursk defense is costing us, . And considering your claims of a shortage of sturmovicks, sold three marketplaces in Magnitorsk, Guvyev, and Uralisk to keep us over 300 to get you one in Seramoforich, use it wisely. (Trade in these cities was very low, and the marketplaces were costing more to upkeep than actual revenue being brought in. I may decide to sell more, but do a poll for that, this was more of an emergency measure).

To everyone else, sorry but my priority was the Marshall’s orders and the Ukranian Fronts (though I didn’t see a request from 2nd Ukranian, guess all is well). Good news is next turn freight will arrive and I or my boss will probably be selling sewers, having now seen what life as the unpopular econ minister is really like. On the other hand, I may even grow more miserly as I grow into the job.

Seeing as how money was tight, I have sold some marketplaces, see above for 1st Ukranian front.

Also, all front commanders, remember to post your MONTH and FRONT when placing an order, most, but not all of you do this.

I also didn't see any freight to move, but some next turn.

If there is any other key thing the econ minister is supposed to do, tell me now!!!

                  • There is actualy

This turn we are going to finish Researching GOLERO Agency so you should recommend what to research next. It looks to me like it’s a choice between
                    "Advanced Flight IV" (Yak-9 fighter)
or "85mm AT Gun" (leads to Mobile Warfare III: T-34/85 (a T-34 with a new bigger gun!)

You could make a quick poll if your not sure, or ask in the STAKVA thread for front commanders opinions.

Also don't worry about not pleasing everyone, up to 3 trade convoys! Will arrive next turn (one's been airlifted to Groznyy and are waiting to be shipped over from Krasnovodsk to Baku)

                    • If we finish researching the GOELRO Agency this turn, we should also decide if and where we are going to build the wonder.
For research: I would like new Yak-9 fighters, but we maybe should better research new tanks.

                        • I think we should stop the research
the money is more needed and we are advanced enough with the techs we have right now

                          • What, stop research? We need the research in the long term, to create a victory for communism!

I understand what you mean, but I think we should continue to research, even at a slow rate. I couldn't stand it to maintain the status quo on every scientific field, we need to keep advancing, not only at our fronts but also in our technical capabilities. We could very well use better tanks and fighters!

                              • Taxes set as they are we have a 650(,000) Surplus and we finish researching a new technology every four turns. This doesnt include revenue from trade convoys. I think we are fine financially for now. Just make sure you pillage expensive improvements in any cities you capture and we should be fine
