      we have 2 diplos on boats headed in there direction, the nearest will head directly to this city while the other keeps discovering new lands in the scearch for the Vikings. We are about 8 turns from getting the diplo there and then you may get you embassy my loyal foreign minister, unless the people vote against one.

          because for some reason the boat that was exploring up there had no-one on board to make contact

          rather than moving it back to our lands for 12 turns to pick up someone , I chose to keep exploring while sending diplos on other boats up that way as well.

            Hard to know what to do until we know more about them - hence we 1st need an Embassy.

              Yes, embassy first, decisions afterwards. We shouldn't try to make serious decisions in the absence of information.

                      Since we're 8 turns away, the embassy is an obvious first step.

                      Atawa, perhaps you can explain the Key Civ Tech-Gifting concept to the class. It's tough to get your arms around a concept that "feels" like it reduces your tech leadership. Perhaps in a fresh thread...
