Cool, the first 4 cities can be named Buttercup, Blossom, Bubbles, and The Professor. I happen to like the Powerpuff Girls myself.
Maybe the Capitol could be named "Capitol", though, just to avoid any confusion.

For our Capitol, either we respect the president's choice, or I'm for CaveBear's idea for "Capitol", with reference to the main hill in ancient Rome.
For other cities, the contest is open.

What book? Those names look familiar but I can't remember what they're from.
One of Asimovs' books("De ondergang" in Dutch), about a planet with 6 suns,and every 2049 years their civilization collapses because of a solar-eclips(sp?).Darkness and the sight of the stars drives the ppl crazy. .
btw those names weren't supposed for our capital, but for future cities,when we run out of names.
Melfort or Capita(o)l are fine with me.
-->an other one "Alba Longa"(pre-Rome)

I love that book. I beleive it is "Nightfall" in English. For anyone's information, some scientists start to question their established history when ruins are excavated of cities going back maybe 10,000 years, each destroyed by fire whenever the total eclipse occurs.
As in many Asimov books, all of the characters I can think of are very understanding people, but when others aren't around, they let down their hair by saying "Damn him!" or drinking a lot (sounds a little, only a little like me). Even the reporter is very reasonable and doesn't break the story after a request from his scientist friend.

It really is a great book to read...
I wasn't sure about the title..thx.
