Whew! Thought this was about my prolonged (SORRY!!!! ) absence. This may come as cold comfort to all the citizens of our glorious State, and especially the Premier - who has needed to shoulder the job of directing the armies as well while I attended to my own selfish concerns. I have now mostly missed two sessions of play, and based on this I certainly understand that the people may have no faith in me, and I would accept without question any no confidences in me for the future, especially foe if/when I run for any more positions. However, I hope you will listen to the circumstances, as I have not neglected this site without SOME reason (however bad a reason you think it).

Exams finally finished for me some days ago, and it was then that I should have started posting back here in earnest. I had a wrist injury (from hockey the weekend before) checked out (it had been bothering me in exams) - and found I had a greenstick wrist fracture. I have not been permitted computer use since because of the aggravation of this inujury by writing exams.

However, my wrist is less painful now, and I got the damn cast off, so I will endeavour to make it up to all of you.

All I can say now is sorry, and try to complete my term of one more week tolerably.

    Thanks to all,

    Minister of WAR, not peace.
    MrWIA.
    Consul.

Back to the ROOTS of addiction. My first missed poll!

Minister of War MWIA - As you have been such a dedicated participant in this Democratic game for several months, I had no doubt that your absence was both temporary and for good reason.

So, fear not, we are just glad you have returned. The previous session was not going to be very military in any case; most of it was involved in getting units transported to the new battlefronts, and military planning was not too critical in that part. And it is not like the Minister of War can do a lot about Barbarian intrusions, either.

But, now we have troops located at interesting positions, some of which (hopefully) offer some use for our Minister of War. The other civs are catching up (locally) to our military might, you need to find some promising plans to get us moving forward again in our quest to bring the joys of the Glorious Workers Paradise to those so long and cruelly denied those benefits!

Plan well, and we will Prosper!
