Since real life is showing it's ugly head again...you all will be saved of my monstrous poll's ... I'll be a "silent citizen" voting and arguing why we should impeach our government

I personally nominate Hydey to be our next minister of War...I think he will do a fine job.

I'll toss my Aussie style snap-brim camo-style hat into the ring. I have a burning desire to lead the glorious Chosen Ones to ruthless and glorious conquest, to explore and pillage all the recources available, and to make our cities centers of military prowess and weaponry.

I seek the office of President. And I welcome many other contestants for that position! Let's have a good contested election with several people going for the job.

No reason why we shouldn't demand the best!

While we have usually depended on self-nominations, is there any reason why we can't ask for those who seem best qualified for any specific time of the game?

yes, but if there don't want to do it, we shouldn't force them.

Me as city planner would not be the best

I suppose you could nominate anyone you want, usually that person should accept the nomination, otherwise they may get elected, but be on holiday for the whole month and never be around.
