I have them on. The board would be just so boring to look at without those colourfull pieces of art(OK, some is not exactly art, but you get my point! ).

I find the text people put in the location field causes increased post height much more than avatars. I wish there was a way to turn off location instead.

Funny that im posting this when the server has turned them off... so i always have them on, when the forum lets me.

Maybe there should be an option to turn off signatures too, havent seen that feature before, but then i dont visit alot of forums.
