    CivGroups is the new way to organize ourselves for multiplayer and democracy games!

    - Multiplayer
    ---Joining a group related to a specific game and mp type, you are listed accordingly and can be easily found


    - Democracy Games
    ---No more join threads and hand-made lists!

    ---DG Parties: the same can be done for parties in dg games. Send me a note and a 15x19 gif and i'll add your party in the availiable CivGroups

    Related features
    - membership indicator in posts
    - links to the memberslist and membership indicator in related forums and threads
    - in memberslist: user online indicator, pm link, timezone info

    Coming soon:
    - Voting ability in related forums only in members(demo games)
    - Group operators and ability to have operators authorize users before joining a group
    - Private forums per CivGroup

        wow! you linked my FAQ thread! i'm touched

        so all we have to do now is instead of a "join" thread, we just say "click here to join" and you'll join?

        now, are we going to have the little things in between our location field and join date on the left? that would be cool

                since when is Markos a member of the Civ2 democracy game? And since you've expressed intrest in it, why don't you run for office then?

                  I think what he means is that for the PTW Multi-player forums, you'll need to be a part of the team with secure access to go in. To vote in polls, etc., in the regular demo games you'll need to be a 'group member'.

                      well, officially yes, but not really

                      what will happen is that pretty soon you wont be able to vote in the c3dg forum if you havent joined the c3dg group

                      but you wont need to be a member in order to post (unless the people request it that is)
