Some folks like the instant response of a chat room (i'm personally not a big fan of chat rooms), and others prefer posting and checking back. I think Mark should be congratulated for trying to satisfy both types of posters. Not berated by one frustrated pup.
What woud be cool is a live mesage board.
Maybe it shoud have the First thing typed not the last, and/or the topic of the chat.
The same way forums do... it allows people to talk about games. Already, if you had bothered to check what people were saying, people have been discussing games, strategies, setting up games... sure, there is other stuff too, just like you would find in the OTF, but it is the same thing as the forums, just live and quicker.
Not interested in chat rooms, mainly because I'm working, so i can't read cross chatter, so a message board works better, all i have seen on the header snipets, haven't seen a single gaming comment yet in a single one.
Perhaps it's time for you to say something else insulting at this juncture.
I believe Saddam because his position is backed up by logic and reason...David Floyd i'm an ignorant greek...MarkG

Yes, I told Mark he was on medication and a frustrated pup, how could I have forgotten I posted that?
Rah over-reacted, and you are trying to cover, just admit it and move on.
You are the king of overreacting... You are proving how much you overact just by your posts so far here.
You are the one with a bee in his butt today. You call a man's work crap, and then when somebody defends him, you get on your high horse. It's a two way street.

Mark doesn't provide this site just for you... but for all members of the site. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean Mark should only cater to your needs. Again... people have been using it today alot, so some people must like it.
And the only reason why you haven't seen a gaming comment is because you didn't bother to really look. Happy Sun Shine was setting up a MP game with Makeo, there was discussion of Moo3 and other games...
And people were talking about the viability of Civ III for MP... hmmm.. sounds like gaming talk to me

I should have said "stuff", as I'm sure Mark worked hard on it, sorry.

Nice to be able to enter the chat room without cookies. So I tried it with Opera, I enabled the java error messages so I get now tons of them with Opera 6.04 and I am not able to see the content of the chat text box just the windows stndart background color.
Code:
http://apolyton.net/forums/shoutbox.php?page_shout=loader&lid=XXXX
Error:
name: TypeError
message: Value on left hand side of '.' is not convertible to Object: window.parent.frames["chat"]
In addation to the error messages I get tons of pop ups if I have a window of the chat room open. It seems me to log out.

Then why call him God? - Epicurus
@ ming: well i know, but I was being abit sarcastic
(didn't make that very clear though, My bad), i'll correct it
