Yeah, mostly accidents that deal with people acting stupider than usual. Some eggheads on the program theorized that a full moon somehow screws with the earth's magnetic field and can slightly **** up some people's brain chemistries, making them behave more erratically.

Hard stats, no, but every nurse I know and my mum knows shares exactly the same perception - and I'm more likely to believe their perception than the opposite, until I see proof that the moon has no effect.

I've read in numerous periodicals, including New Scientist and Scientific American that it is a myth, hence my curiousity for supporting evidence.

Also my mother was a nurse for 20 years, now a medical secretary, and has never noticed a lunar relationship.

Well, cybershy managed to hack some files on the forums database (I suppose) and started to change his title and his registration date (he styled himself as 'Moderator' and his reg date sported 'Jan 1870').

I made a comment that Mark or Ming should take some action about that, more as a joke than anything else -- but I guess I had to use some smilie, oh well. Then MarkG discovered what cyber did and 'suspended' him for 10 days.

The funny part is that Skanky did the same thing, but was left alone... Go figure...

Ming's avatar frightens me, even if he is a nice moderator.

I think there would have to be a full moon for someone to agree to be a mod.
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

A quick search yielded a few sites. (if it's on the internet, it must be fact.

The first one shows mixed results.

and the second one tries to sound more definitive.
and even addresses stats on how many hospital workers believe it.

                          Enjoy.

Actually I was kind of surprised myself. Almost every hospital worker I know believes it to be true. (and the stats in the second article supports how many workers believe it) So I figured their had to be something there. I guess not.

The other articles I read (but didn't post) where mostly heavily slanting towards "no correlation".
