I love cats. I am not offended by a joke based on earlier jokes.

And the fooking joke isn't even about kittens in the first place... It's about Victorian views on... 'self love'.

Great ad! Clever joke on the original joke. I like it!
About 24,000 people die every day from hunger or hunger-related causes. With a simple click daily at the Hunger Site you can provide food for those who need it.

I'm just going to say that this appears to be getting out of hand.

You think this is bad? You should see what's been going on at CGN.

That describes Alexanders Horse to a tee. I'm not sure if he is willing to buy poly bric-brac, but the rest is certainly true of him. And he is - wait for it - a cat hater...

And meanwhile that generalisation covers me, and yet I'm *gasp* not a cat hater!

Me thinks your generalisations are not worth the paper they are printed on.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Amazing, apolyton is getting famous by the kitten thing!
I suggest: continue the kitten-type of advertisment and spread it to dogs, turtles, mice, little children !

I'm sure we'll be able to be mentioned on CNN !
Our 15 seconds of fame is near !

                C'mon Markos, don't shy away!
Negative attention is attention as well
Nobody can say anymore he didn't knew about the apolyton-save the kitten-store!

                wooohoooo

Ah, paper. How fondly I remember thee. Before the advent of the Internet, I used to get all my news on paper. I even wrote letters to friends using paper.

continue the kitten-type of advertisment and spread it to dogs, turtles, mice, little children !
                  Well, the children part anyway.

CyberShy has a point. There is an axiom in marketing that publicity of any kind is good. However, I can think of many exceptions to this rule. I'm sure Ming can to.

But 'Bannergate' would surely rate in the positives, since any reasonable human (being the ones you want to target) will not hold this against the establishment. They will however say, Poly? Gee, haven't I heard of that someplace before? Must be good, lets go check it out... Onwards to CNN!

Bad publicity? Hmmm. How about appearing on America's Most Wanted?

Osama could probably give you some insider information on the subject, as well.

Pherhaps lines like "Everytime you don't buy 'poly merchandize we'll fly a plane......"

ok, pherhaps not so funny though.

We'll make it into CNN seriously btw, and we'll finally know what Markos looks like since his picture will be spread all over the country

ok, back to the innocent kitten killing things.

I think Osama and his cohorts are quite pleased with the publicity of the last 10 months. It is highly doubtful that any wing nuts who might be sympathetic have not heard of him by now. The esteem with which he is held within existing extremist groups must also have increased.

They might not be so happy about the attentions of the US (and NATO) militaries though.

Would you be so blase if the ad in question featured pictures of starving Third World children and the caption "Whenever you don't buy Apolyton products, we crack an African's head?"
