Hmm... it might have something to do with the differences in location.

I would doubt that, Solver and I live on completely different sides of the world and I haven't had any problems with any site except Apolyton.

Not everyone has experienced it because most of the time it works fine, for some reason for 1-2 minute periods it'll have huge packetloss to the Apolyton server.

Yeah, Asher is right, very different locations, same problem. Probably the Server is a little bit tricky these days.

Hmm... maybe I just don't use it intensively enough to notice (either that or I just flip through too many windows and don't notice when one lags).

I doubt it... my last load of Community forum was 117 seconds... can you not notice that kind of a delay?

I use this site very intensively and I haven't noticed anything, so my guess is that it *is* a location issue and the fact that 2 people/regions are affected is a coincidence (although oddly enough in my own tracerts verio.net is much faster than in Solver's - 100ish ms).

Wouter, I've also seen you make two posts in a row in the staff room, also post here... lucky you. It's incredibly slow here... not connection fault, I also dialed the modem, and got the same thing.

This thread loaded in 243 seconds! New record! Fu*k it.

See, it must be a location thing or something, because I'm not having any problems while you at the same time have the crappiest times one could imagine...

                  2.383 seconds for me BTW

I asked Ming, the lucky man has 1.5-2 seconds. You bastards .

I sent Markos a private message in the shortest way, 2 minutes. Now when I get a reply, it will take me 5-6 minutes to read it .

                    200 seconds.

Another burst now, of relative quickness . (70 seconds)

BTW I checked how fast can I download. Started download of a 600 MB file, speed: 900 KB/s usual stuff. It's only Apolyton.

-I could theoretically miss such a delay, but I doubt it. (Remember, I use multiple windows, and generally switch right after posting, so if the window I'm currently using isn't the one that's experiencing delays, I might not notice. Right now I have one window for OT, and one for Apolyton/Community and Other Games (i.e. the Increased Postcount Initiative).

And 1.392 for the second page. (ack... that's fast enough to run into the no two posts in 30 seconds rule. The second time today, though last time it was in two different threads.)

It's not a location thing because I've done traceroutes when it lags horribly, and everything checks out perfectly fine until the 16th and final hop, to the actual apolyton.net server. Half the packets get lost usually, the other half have like 700ms ping.

It's just the server wonking out occasionally.

I haven't had the slowness problem like Solver's having though, so that may be specific...It's an "all or nothing" type thing for me. For 2 minutes a couple times a day the server will just drop all/most packets, then be fine again right after.

Odd... maybe apolyton doesn't like you.
