    /me thinks this feature is pretty damn useless and may even become annoying *

    It is easy to mix up with links, it's less flexible than using * * yourself, and it might not look so good with all styles. Besides, it is so non-standard that it will only confuse people who post to other forums than Apolyton.

    /me kicks MarkG for introducing a useless feature
