Ah, so it uses the add to URL trick. I remember using that made the forum to freak out for me, and I never knew what style I'd have when I returned. It ended with that IO had to go to the cp and update my settings to stop it from changing randomly.

One pop up per day, actual this is not true Marcos. If I am not loged in, I get every time I enter the main forum page of the CTP2 forum for example I get every time a pop up banner, reardless of the fact I closed the previous banner or not. In my opinion it is better to have a lot of advertisement on the page instead of one pop up banner per forum visit. Note that I don't want to log in every time I vistit the forum. And I don't use cookies. Of course I know how can I solve this problem myself, I have already a adbocker on my system installed, so just one more click and pop ups won't bother me anymore. Unfortunatly this program filters all the non annoying non pop up banners on the page. By the way I closed the last pop up before it was finished loaded, so I didn't saw it.

If you find it annoying switch to the "Default" style instead of the "special one.

Mark, the drop-down menu isn't working in Netscape 4.75 under CtP2-Default.All I get is the text from it written out with a white BG.

My opinion is that it should also work without cookies. I can close these pop ups before I see the advertisement. It doesn't make any sense to make me close every pop up instead of having some ads on the page itsself. If these pop ups gets too annoying than I will start webwasher and then I won't be anymore bothered by any advertisement, and I think to make me start web washer is not intended.

                Martin,

i did the following succesfully on mozilla 0.99 with cookies turned off and having set my style to the light one(e.g. not a special one)

                a) went to the control panel

                b) logged in
                c) started browsing the forums

in the whole process i did not get a single pop-up

you can also subscribe to your favorite forums(the link is in the forum display page under the new thread image) and have direct links to them from your control panel
