    What is the largest bulletin board site out there, in terms of registered members? Is Poly the largest in the Civ-esque game category?

          Click on your user profile, the icon with a folder and a person standing next to it. In the address, it will have something like
          userid=4616

          Which is your ID number, btw

              i'm not sure on what happened with them. it might simply be that they have a different way to measure "currently online" visitors...

                19000 Members. Yet less than 3000 active? That is silly. I assume that activity increases drastically when a patch or so is announced.

                    ...And the rest are unused DL's

                    But you have to admit, those aren't good numbers- we need to get the post in last 3 months up to 5000 at least!
                    There will one day be too few people here to post- I fear that we have about 2 years of good activity, 2 years of slipping, and 2 years of dying- if Mark and dan keep the site up and the site does not expand to other games

                    Hopefully Civ IV will be released in 6 years... It was 4 yrs between I (1992) and II (1996) and 5 between II and III (2001)

                        I still don't get why so many people come, register, and don't post at all. These mute registered are more than 1 half of the members !

                          Aren't you deleting accounts after they've been inactive for a certain time? Doesn't the inactive user info take up space on the database ?
                          What?

                            not really. the user tables are currently 26mb.
                            meanwhile, we have over 800mb of attachements on the forums
