Yes, I noticed that also when I registered as the 10792th member and my user id was 10858. BTW, what's the reason for the small difference?

Two more questions to the site owner:

      - When will Apolyton hit the mark of 20000 members?
      - When will Civfanatics catch up?

Users sometimes are deleted, and the conversion to vB skipped some numbers (for all changed handles I guess, but I'm not sure)

I'm sure they'll tell you they aren't sure, but that they'd love it the sooner the better without a ton of dls. (Am I kind of right Mark?)

Never, or at least that would be the hope.

When the asteroid 1950 hits Earth (that is, either in 2880 or *never*)

9900 of them Horsie's, 100 of them mine (where else did you think our prevalence in the Location poll came from?).

Does one need to register to get downloads? (MArk?) That would falsely inflate the size of the community...

How many active posters are there. (people who posted in last month say...)

Mark, very nice statistics. I'm impressed that you have such a good handleon this stuff.

Any idea on how this compares to other sites (not Civ but internet in general?) Like say ESPN or Straight Dope or what have you? How impressive are these numbers to other people (advertisers, etc)?

Are you guys seen as bigger than a normal hobby site? OR are there lots of other "Apolyton size" sites out there? Maybe AOE Heaven? They are bigger than us, right?
