  • PM Problem

I've noticed ever since the forum came back online, that all the PMs I get come to me as emails and nothing is in the PM section of control panel on Apolyton. It seems as though the PM's text is put into an email and sent to me. Is there anyway to fix this?

    Hi ANZAC.

I have received several PM during the period since the temporary server move and have not experienced such a problem. What is the pull-down menu option under "Show Messages From" read? Try selecting a longer time period and see if that helps.

Is anybody else having a similar difficulty at the present time?

Isn't this simply a different feature?

If you click on the icon with an envelope and to people shaking hands, you send a PM, if you use the envelope with one person on it, you send an e-mail.
That e-mail will be sent through Apolyton (because your e-mail address is kept hidden), which will add some kind of Apolyton mumble jumble header in the e-mail. I guess that's what you're receiving, not PM's.

I think you are right. I avoid sending those as the server has tended not to send mails correctly before, but, as long as the size is bellow 4000 byte and the user aren't up to the message limit I've had no problem with PMs. (At least I know if the user get them.)

Well, unfortunately, I deleted the email I got, but if I get one again, I'll post what it says here and you can see what it is. I think likely though, it's that send an email through forum thing.
