Well was it ever seriously considered or was I just 'laughed out of court' so to speak? I was serious with the offer and have had experience with moderation before as well. It would have also been nice to be declined in a more direct way, rather than actually managing to read that Ming had been appointed the Ming in the corner of the Civ3 news somewhere...

No worries, it is strange because usually the acquisition of a new moderator for a section (although not exactly a new moderator is usually a bit more suddenly announced that that.
