So there's no point in getting riled up over it...

Aren't you wonderful, Glonky. Not that you are a walking encyclopedia but now you are telepathic as well.
Now who called whom "thickheaded?"
I don't recall calling anybody names except in responses, and that rarely. Now you and your friends, on the other hand, are quite different.
I think more than one person have noticed that Glonk always want to have the last say in a thread in which he is involved.

I'd love to know what this thread was all about as I never saw it. Anyone care to PM me it's contents? (look in your history, it should be there somewhere)
Speaking of Erith:
"It's not twinned with anywhere, but it does have a suicide pact with Dagenham" - Linda Smith
People were spamming... therefore, the thread was deleted to bring it to an end. Even though post counts in the OTF no longer count, the rule against spamming still exists. So, the thread was deleted. It is that simple. I have a job to do, and I do it. If you don't like it... complain to the owners.
Eternal's thread on how boring the terrorist attacks were was only closed, not deleted. One even talked about killing a teenage girl. Actually, if you some searches, you can come up with a bunch of horridly spammy/offensive topics that are still on record. Some of them, you moderated over.
It's either an obvious double standard or someone doing a bad job.
But you don't answer to me, and that's fine. I think he's got a point in that PMing an admin wouldn't do anything, as you're entrenched in the position and far too well liked to even be corrected. Maybe that's ok, you do a great job. But you've made a mistake, or at least been unfair, and I think you should admit to that.
A thread that turns to spam 99% of the time is closed with either pcrs or a short explanation. Deleting asher's first post back with no reason backing it up...sure, you're within your rights, but it isn't the sign of a good mod. IMO, you're doing it because you can get away with it. If GP or Imran started an "I'm back" thread, no way in hell is anyone touching it.
Glonk's an ******* about MS, but out of curiosity, where has he broken any major rules? Your file of complaints doesn't mean anything without that.

Please explain how I'm unfair or how I made a mistake. I deleted it because it had turned into a spam fest... It was a matter of opinion...
Sure, you can find an example of something you think is spam...
It's just an opinion, or maybe, nobody saw it... It's not like anybody can read everything posted here.
So I admit to only doing my job.
Now he is the one that started the thread with an insult.. but I'm the person in the wrong
I never saw anything in that thread which warranted its deletion. Why couldn't it be there? It's not like posting in it increases anyone's post count.
It seems to me there was no real reason for its dissapearance.
I have to say, in defense of Ming, He pretty fair.
Now, I'll qualify that by saying that we are friends, play in the same leagues and such, talk baseball over pms now and than, BUT, he has banned me, and closed a couple of my threads too, which shows no bias.
In fact, he banned me at the request of a major pain in his ass, which shows he's even-minded.
I also like Glonky, he's a nice kid, and quite intelligent, but he still hasn't taken my advice yet about not taking net stuff personal.
As for UR, I have said before, and will say again, I like the guy, and always will, despite the fact we totally disagree on some things (like spy planes and stuff), yet can talk about SFB endlessly! (Remember, UR? )
What I'm saying here is, you won't always agree with people, nor they with you, but try not it take it personally.
It's bad for the complection!
I believe Saddam because his position is backed up by logic and reason...David Floyd i'm an ignorant greek...MarkG
It might've been unfair, but chris is right, don't take it personal. Life goes on, it's one small post in the OT that evidently turned very pointless.
A clarification as to what warrants a deletion or a closure would be nice, as an "I'm Back" thread doesn't seem rank as bad as "How can I dispose of a body" Eternal ramble. and as a word of advice, I'd ditch the whole respect system...in the case of glonk, his only crime is being arrogant, but you've essentially charged him for being a top level enemy of the peace, or something along those lines.
I reckon since there are three OTF mods, plus two admins, there are five who can enforce the rules. Some of them might just lock spam threads, while others go further to delete them. So it's pretty hard to speak of a double standard here, as you can't tell who did what.

Telling who did it does not prevent a double standard.
It's quite clear that the person who did it sees a double standard and simply doesn't care, because its "in his rights" and "it's that simple".
