Ugh... why did you move the forum name up? Now there's just a big space there...

I'd move the "Post New Topic" button and all those words to the left, and center all the old commands under the button as per before, since there is enough space now. And move the forum name down.

What the hell happened to the link to the main forum listing page ?!? I have no problems with the other parts of the layout, but... I do visit other forums than the OT, just not so often. And I think most of the others OTers are similar.

they couldnt be put on the left cause they didnt fit in one line on 800x600...

Not too bad. I'm having trouble with the new position of the "10 days" combo box, whose Go button seems to drop down to the line below in IE, though not in netscape.

Has it gotten to the point that a 5-6 second delay will destroy life as we know it? I get mad when there is a delay too, but life goes on.

My browsing habits here are probably a bit strange. I run a SMAC PBEM tournament, and regularly check the turn administration threads to see if there are any problems etc. Usually there are none, and then checking the thread is a less than 10-second process. It follows that the ratio of time spent looking at 'Click on the 666 for a chance to win $54,000,000,000,000!!!' to time spent doing something useful gets considerable.

It is not the end of the world in any way, but it is annoying and I do not think my phone company deserves the money. So I would really appreciate it if something could at least be done to prevent the drawing of the top ad when the back button is used even when it should not be displayed, as I suspect that may be a major culprit... (please, Mark? Pretty please? )

I heard about it in the news. Nice weather huh? It hit us in Athens at about 22:00. Let's hope we won't have such problems down here.

Are you sure? It did not do that before, and it still does not do it on the threads themselves, where there is still only one ad - that one is not drawn if it should not be shown. As it is also at the top (albeit centered instead of left-aligned), it seems strange that there should be a difference.

The lower ad does not show up, but before you made the latest changes, the 'Show topics from last X days' did... so apparently there is something in the code that affects it...
