GameStats did apologize -- there's a notice right on <A HREF="http://www.gamestats.com" TARGET="_new">gamestats.com</A>
As Director of Operations of the network, I can say that we are already working on measures to minimize the likelihood of this happening again. Our uptime has been quite stable for some time, though I will admit that slowdowns have been somewhat prolonged. New server arrangements are being investigated but this process does take some time.
To the person who said that GS doesn't care about its affiliates, that couldn't be farther from the truth. If I didn't think GS cared about Apolyton and the other affiliates on the network, then I wouldn't have remained an affiliate of this network as long as I have (since December '97) or accepted the aforementioned Directorship this past July. I am most certain that Markos concurs with my sentiments. GS in constant communication with us and the other affiliates during the best and the worst of times.
Please remember that no server is perfect, and that we're all doing the best that we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated, as were the numberous emails and ICQ messages we received from concerned visitors in making sure that we were always informed on the extent of the situation.
