The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.

That IS an issue as some banks are applying a flat rate to convert € into another money and it is sometimes quite high. I have to check with my bank before.

thanks very much for the kind offer! I'll be waiting for Markos to respond, so that I know if he accepts me for beta testing. I'll send you a PM about the arrangement. As for the convert rate, I think it's a little below 1€ with a typical credit card rate. So doesn't differ much from the actual exchange rate.

I have been charged 0.85 € according to PayPal. I'm at the Caisse d'Epargne, which is far from the best with international payments. I'll tell you how much I paid in the end.

I am not sure, my bank is a former local one and is not well known for its international management skill, I know that some users in France have experienced some problems and I would prefer not to have a bad surprise. I am about to give a phone call and while you wait you can find my e-mail address in my user's profile.

OK, I have checked with my bank, there are two things when I pay in $:
- a 1€ flat rate
- a variable fee of 2.15% based on the overall cost
There is nor a flat rate nor a fee when the payment is made in € provided the sums are deducted in Europe. It means that even if I pay in € I could have to pay the flat rate and the fee if the payment is done outside the European Community (as somewhere in the process the sum is converted into $). This is something to consider for the future. Is the payment made in Greece (or elsewhere in the EC) or in the USA?
Whatever, I will contact MarkG today and arrange a payment for both of us.
Note: as some users have experienced some troubles because they didn't have a PayPal account I don't know when we will be able to use the "ad-free" options... I will let you know.
BTW, the "forum jump" bar is now fixed. The staff forum and Candle'bre private forum also don't show up anymore in the forum index.

now, on the "credit card only issue"
it goes without saying(more or less) that if you already a paypal account that you can add funds without a credit card(example: bank account), then yes, you dont need a credit card

I just had my first popup, the "gambling search results" one, while browsing a thread in the community forum (no other website open whatsoever).
