    Unfortunately not.

    You need high contrast to make reading easy on weaker eyes. Any medium blue on grey or white background is going to be hard to read for many or some people. It may look nice to the designer, but it is not practical from a publishing POV since it reduces the number of people who will bother to read in the first place.

    Navy blue, like it was close to before the initial change, worked well. Nothing in the medium blues will. At least, if readability is a goal.

      ... and then I checked and the blue is darker and easier to read. I was going from the poly.net main page where the darkness is not sufficient enough to overcome the serif font in predominent use there. It seems to be better in the forum index where the sansserif font is stronger. I think. At least it doesn't hurt my eyes to look at right off the bat anymore. But some stronger contrast still wouldn't hurt for those with less than strong eyes who use the forums a lot.
