I think that even more important is to be fair. Every Mod has a different personality and "consistency" would be next to impossible. Fairness in enforcing the rules, OTOH can be applied by all Mods while being consistent within their own styles.

Anyone who has been posting here for any length of time should be well aware of each Mod's personality. Some responsibility must rest on the poster.

I have a bad habit of confusing the words "poster" and "pester". But I guess from a mod's point of view us posters probably are pesters.

Agreed. In other words, don't do anything that'd attract a Mod's attention.

It's like driving. If you tend to speed all the time, a police officer is bound to pull you over eventually. Some officers are more likely to give you a ticket while others are more likely to give you a warning.

Doh, accidently quoted myself - noticed a grammatical error that was bothering me and wanted to edit but... ah well.

And, Shogun Gunner, those were really hilarious especially the second one Brilliant

While you may think something is being ignored, it may simply be that we aren't aware of it. On the other hand, in your China example... wasn't the title something like China sucks... something that was hard to miss... it's no surprise it lasted about a minute
Actually, sitting right next to the "China sucks" thread was a thread with "religion sucks" sucks in the title. Most of the posts in that thread were spam or pleas for it to be closed. But it was ignored for some time. Yet, the China thread was homed in on. A lot more people expressed their disatisfaction with the religion thread than the China thread, which was seen as a stupid joke. Of course, the religion thread was left around longer so that it was able to offend more people. It gives the impression that the mod on duty, who is known for being pro-China and for trying to belittle those who believe in their religions, choose to leave an offensive thread simply because he agreed with it.

Um... without saying much more, I agree. It would be better for some mods not to let their biases show so much.

I think you mods and admins need to be a lot more harsh on those who aren't taking the threads more seriously. Like a week ban for example?
I'm sorry if I troll too much. But I can't help myself sometimes. It's an addiction.

I just did something very bad. I really do try to resist trolling. And I do try to avoid messing up people's threads. But sometimes it is so hard to resist. It does feel like an addiction sometimes
