  • Why does a PM I recieve from somebody still show their old screen name?

I recieved a PM from someone and it was still showing their old screen name. But they had changed it to something different. Why is that?

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Was the PM sent before the name was changed?

            Yes it would.
My guess would be the same as Gramphos'.

The next pm they send you should be under their new screen name.

And I do have an avatar.

Out of curiosity, who sent it?

                    What was the reason?

Unless you tell us, we will be forced to conclude it was a user error (as in You stuffed up).

He got a PM from his own DL, but it was a different one from the one he thought it was.

English grammar, at least in the spoken vernacular, permits 'they' to be used as the singular, usually when the gender is unknown.
