I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

      Maybe.
      Maybe not.
I'm sure someone will investigate it though if you promise enough +1's.

        • Alot of us might never have imperial status if we registered after when OT posts stopped counting.

          • some of us emporers were registered when OT posting counted but spent so little time there and posted in ON Topic aread mostly. The OT not counting in post counts has not prevented a lot of people achieving post count levels. There are many great forums on this site that allow people with diverse interests to post and have that posting recognised in a post count increase.

              • It would be interesting to know how many of the emperors made it to that status due to OT posts counting. And how many we would now have if they continued to count.

Yes indeed, and this fine forum is one of those.

Yeah it would be. But someone usually makes the point that there are lots more forums to post in now than then, so it's all pretty much even I'd say.

                      • But then, a large majority of OTers don't even play the games that this site is dedicated to, or if they do only one or two of them. That precludes them from most of the discussion on the on-topic forums.

Contrast that to the OT situation a few years ago. Everyone could make their opinion to the Middle East or their favourite main battle-tank known and get a +1 for their trouble.

The trick is to hold OT debates in On Topic forums. Panag sparked a few Israel Bashing threads where he went, and there's always the question "should the US be in Civilization" that quickly degenerates in US bashing

Also, there are these spam thread in the DG that serve the purpose of making the DG community more cohesive
