Interesting post... I didn't know that by 2005 I'll be a deity... But the thing is that my post rate have increased since I got ADSL two or three weeks ago, so maybe I'll be deity sooner...

But in the long rung, I've not noticed any advantage about having a lot of post, except the custom avatar, so... why should I be worried about when I'm going to be deity?

I bet there's people with less than 5000 posts who will get there faster than the people on this list.

Just did some maths for me :

4737 (8.03 posts per day) so I'll need about 1 year 9 months = September 2005. That's better than some people over the 5000 mark (or is it WORSE than them?)

I wonder what our post counts would be were we to join those DemoGames. I mean, if normally quiet posters are getting an average of 14+ posts per day, imagine what we could manage.

The best times to join a demo game from a pc point of view is when they just start, quite unbelievable how many legit posts one can make in just one weekend.

              DarkCloud,

Time for another competition between the two of us ?

I was always expecting myself to reach deity somewhere in 2005... your prediction might be quite close, and the Civ 4 list and CtP2 source will see my post count average numbers raise. However, by the prediciton I'm going to be a Deity months before DC .

Oh, and Ghenghis isn't going to be the next Deity - Rah is. Rah's posts per day number is way off because his registration is technically in 1970.

Nah. Compare War4ever and Narck on the list. It may say 1970, but it calculates from 1998.

Actually, the database reads it as August 1998, as opposed to 1970.

                    9312/4.74 = 2083.22 days on Apolyton, or 2083.22/365 = 5.71 years. I believe that is August 1998

Ahh, correct indeed. I forgot the code change that made it all count correctly.

Solver, you had best not dare to test me in a race I might just decide to spend all of new years night on the forums and NEVER GET OFF I bet I could get 100 posts in one day if I did that (I managed about 100 posts at FFZ on January 1, 2001 , so I know that it's possible )

Oh well, we;ll just see who's the better man with the better [and more relevant, and longer] posts in the end...

(But anyways, you're a cheater since you play MP :bleh: so It wouldn't be that humiliating if I lost to you )

Longer posts don't mean better, you know . Oh, and I think I have done 60 game-related posts in one day, so...

Maybe we should start some sort of a bet for the next deity - GF, Rah or NYE.

Looks like in two years we will really have more than 7 deities .
