Nope. The Personal message feature was still pretty new at the time, and I certainly wasn't aware of any such rule at the time of that debacle. I'd actually posted quites from my own PM's prior to that, with no censure at all. You'll note that others were surprised too.
I posted PM's all the time . Of cousre it was PM's about the Civ3 PTW game. It had to deal with diplomatic messages between our civs and I posted them in our private team forum. It was necessary for discussing diplomacy. But my point is I have posted PM's

Diss, Those who set up the game did ask for approaval on this. And everyone knew they would be made public, check back on the first that were sent and you'll find that most have a disclaimer at the bottom reminding people this would be the case.
