does that mean that those (who do not use popup blockers), now get more pop-ups because others do???
Ban them !!!

If that is the case it does explain some things. People have been scared into blockers by the spyware threats, which means that other users get increased amounts of both legitimate and illegitimate pop-ups. Of course the situation will not sort itself out, since more and more users will turn to blockers if the situation remains as it is now.

Which leads to the question: What happens if all the members of Apolyton installed pop-up blockers?
Well, then, all players in the game would have an incentive to fix the problem.
At present the only thing in the way is the people not wanting to screw 'Poly. Perhaps the holdouts would serve the site better by installing blockers. Then perhaps we can sort things out.
I block all pop ups but not I have configured my blocker to take it easy with Poly! We should support the site that fills our otherwise boring evenings!

But actual why installing a pop up blocker if you have a good browser like Mozilla with a build in pop up blocker.
Well I just allowed pop ups again and after some refreshs and a relogin no pop ups yet. And I am sure I allow them now.

Do you have "Block unrequested popup windows" enabled?
I checked naviscope's settings and I have allowed popups from Poly. But I also have the above enabled so I can't remember actually getting a popup here.

While I wont enable popups, I do apologise to those users getting my popups.

Over the last several days I have had some gambling pop up accompanied by another pop up that says shows in the task bar as Installer something or other. No problem, right click, close... Only this last time I guess I wasn't fast enough, or I got some other POS invasive pop up, whatever...
When I reopened ie after being at Poly earlier... my home page was set to some f***** site that does... you guessed it, launch pop ups. GrrrrrrrrRRR!
Sorry, Mark and Dan no more pop ups for me until you can assure me that the content is controlled and responsible.

But somehow something got through that. And then my firewall asked me if I wanted to allow some execute file to access the internet. I denied of course.
