I don't think the 2 million is the correct number when starting from the inception of Apolyton. In all likelihood, deleted threads, and the majority of the UBB era isn't counted.

Merc--we're being modest; with deletions, UBB, etc., it could be much more!

I see I have to get more BLATANT.

Next person that adds a + "whatever" in this thread gets a PCR.

I hope that was clear enough.

Well, hm, I wonder how long it will be until 3,000,000+ posts...a hell of a lot sooner than the last time. Maybe by this time next year. Optomistic--December or before; pessimistic--July+.

Skating on very thin ice there, MrM.

Since this thread began, there have been almost 4600 additional posts on Poly.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

                  Anyone want to take bets?

I think it will be later than that, Mr.M. I'd say somewhere in the later months of 2004, maybe early months of 2005.

Of course alot can change, seeing how unstable this place is lately

                    I know, Skanky.

                    Actually, by now it's 4700+.

If Apolyton continues to add the occasional additional game to its coverage, and if RoN spawns a large new generation of spammers, then it will be quite possible that three million will have been reached in far under a year.

We've had growth of +8,000 members or so since the first million thread. Surely some of them will stay and become rapid spammers.

                      Plus, Conquests is coming up...

                        O_O

I forgot all about conquests. That is sure to bring us some new spam...erm...valued posters.

Immortal, that has got to be the best one I've seen in this thread yet. The suspicion of n00bness at first, leading up to the realisation that it is not a mistake but one of the most subtle spams ever.

                            Or maybe I'm just delusional.

Either way, +1 (or -136 as the case may be)
