The nazi symbol is not allowed here because it's use is forbidden in the law of Germany, or so I'd guess.

The server isn't located anywhere near Germany.

No... it's not allowed because many feel it's offensive.

Now granted, there are some other avatars that some feel are offensive as well, but not to the same extent as swastikas. If a lot of VALID complaints are made about a persons avatar, we look into it, and make "the call"

Also, avatars that cross the line in terms of "good taste" and "sexual content" have also fallen into the category of having the user "asked" to change it.

Yeah... there are really no set rules, and some may think it's arbitrary at times... But that seems to be the nature of the beast.

Common Sense seems to be the general rule of thumb.

Those are not swastika signs. Those signs are mirror images of the Nazi swastika. That is a buddhist symbol that predated the Nazi symbol for a couple of thousand years.

I am not sure about the UK, but in many countries, open displays of Nazism are illegal, and so are open assemblies of neo-Nazis. For the very least, that is a symbol of hate, racism, war, and repression.

                    UR,
Like I said, I've been both the 'real' swastika's and their mirror images...

I'm sure intent plays a large part in the admin's decision here. In this case the probable intent was to wind people up.

Actually, the Buddhists will often use both sides.
