We hope to get eight computers courtesy of Firaxis to run MP on. What we need to figure out is *what* to run on them
One thing is assured, which is that Firaxis will be creating an MP map specifically for the tourney, and presumably would prefer us to actually *use* that map. Specifications aren't known at the moment, but I'd presume it's an 8 player map.
Some options include:
This is not an exhaustive list. Please note that Firaxis hasn't suggested that they WILL play, although we certainly can ask.
Also, if we end up having Poly nonstaff play in the game (options 1,2,3,4), how should we choose who plays? Options here include a play-in MP tournament, where everyone who wants to play has runoff matches, say 4 player games or something, to see who gets through; selection by the staff (what selection criteria?); or random lot.
Please also feel free to discuss other multiplayer issues here, as many of us will likely be bringing computers along with us to the 'Con. We'll have plenty of time for less official multiplaying (Sleep ... what's that?)
See you at the 'Con!

Some options include:
- An eight player MP game, amongst Poly members
- An eight player MP game, with some Firaxians asked to participate, and some Poly members
- A four on four game, Firaxians against Poly members
- A four on four game, Poly staffers against Poly nonstaff.
- An exhibition game, probably four on four, Firaxians vs Poly staff.
- A demogame or succession game.
