Poor Zopp, in the upper left corner is about to cry and it looks like Dan there in the middle is having one of his rapid mood swings. KH there behind Dan looks like Luca Brasi, and I can't remember what snoop and I were so pissed off about...

Tell them it's a family event: no alcohol provided by the convention, many people are bringing their children (like my daughter, below). It's a professional event: it's not a party put together by a couple of kids looking to get away from the parents but by a number of people with significant years of career-experience behind them.

Show them the schedule. Show them our Policy - we have 388 words on alchohol alone. Explain them that this is one of those things that come along just once in your life - you get to hobnob with some of the most venerable people in their industry.

Anyway, if you need to convince your parents to let you come, that implies that you are under 18 - if so, they need to register as well so you can participate. ApolyCon '06 doesn't allow registrations to people under the age of 18 w/o an accompaning guardian.

I'll also be glad to talk to them, if need be. Just let me know.

We will be driving (basically) from Chicago to Baltimore sometime on Friday the July 7th (and returning along the same path). I suspose I can fit up to 2 more in my little Saturn, but it will get cramped... (However, I could envision 3 laptops being linked while in the car on the way there... ).
