Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I think this is a great idea, I'd love to attend the American meet if possible, but that would mostly depends on the price tag and who's attending, as I have limited financial resources (checked out hotels and they are frakking expenive in the US -- 30-40% over the price of a similar quality hotel (as far as one can tell from a website) in more expensive parts of Europe). But if a discount could be negotiated and maybe if anyone would even be interested in sharing a room, who knows?
Failing that, a European counterpart would be interesting to attend as well, though at this point I have only limited time in helping to organise such a thing (esp. as long as it's not known which meet I'll be attending myself).

Almost all 'discount' American hotels are better than European ones. I stayed in a suite at the Grosvenor with two bedroom and a lounge and disliked the **** boudouir (or whatever the toilet thing is called- and NO I am not talking about the women's dressing room- I just can't remember the right name for the watery bowl.) and the room so much more than America's simple little Hampton's Inns which charge only 65-75 dollars a night.

You base that statement on a single experience?
only 65-75 dollars a night.
Only? That's a frakking full 3-star hotel, that's not remotely low-budget. €20-40, that's low budget (and no, you don't get much quality for that but if you're a student with little to spend all you ask for is something resembling a bed).
If you want a 45-55 dollar room, you get a worse room than the Grosvenor, yes, but it's at a Day's Inn- and it's still clean, and has about 20 cable channels.

But I don't need any of that, I just need a bed (well, a certain degree of cleanliness would be nice but even with Europe's huge taxe rates and labor costs that doesn't nearly have to cost $50+/night). Something a la Formula One would be perfect...
The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.
Awesome idea. Not sure if I can make it, it will depend on the exact dates.
