I've met someones rover with my ship and initiated negotiations.
Is that ok? This is my 1st multiplayer game (1st that lasted longer than 20 turns) and I need clarification.

It was next to the rover then I moved it away. I am primary Civ2 multiplayer and in that game contact is possible only when two land units meet each other.
