Military Report to the Foreman:
The 2nd Scout unit encountered a pod from the Unity. Upon opening of the pod, a strange life form resembling a mass of some kind of worms came out. They seemed to be emitting some kind of a mental effect that I lost 3 men to before the squad eliminated them with flamethrowers. Based on the effect they produced, some kind of Psionic blast, we have dubbed them "mindworms". They appear to be a bit of a nuisance, and may be connected with the fungus. I recommand further study of this unusual lifeform.
